This beautiful beach resort is situated on the coastal region of the located on the Black sea. A great indication of the various architectural influences in Nessebar is the many churches in the town. Some of the most interesting ones are the Old Bishop's Residence, which is the town’s most impressive church; another is the St. Ivan the Baptist Church which is decorated in 13th century frescoes, the St. Stefan Church which has a facade decorated in different colored statues and tiles and many other churches as well.
